Wayfinder Navigation Assistance

TalkNav can supply either Wayfinder Access or Wayfinder Navigator satellite navigation software, with the addition of an optional highly accurate, durable and sophisticated global positioning system receiver (GPS). When Wayfinder is installed on any of the (link) compatible phones, which has been linked via Blue Tooth to our GPS device the user instantly has access to all of the following features:

Instantly determine where you are at the touch of a button (Wayfinder Access only),
Information on the local environment including points of interest (Wayfinder Access only),
Navigation from their current position to anywhere within 27 European countries in the European Version, either as a pedestrian or by vehicle mode,
Navigation from their current position to anywhere within Canada and all 50 states of America in the North American Version, either as a pedestrian or by vehicle mode,
20,000,000 Points of Interest Wayfinder Access and 3,000,000 Points of Intrest for Wayfinder Navigator),
Access to weather and other useful information,
Share favourite stored locations with other users,
Review routes before they are travelled,
Set specific routing preferences such as avoid motorways and quickest route by distance or time etc.

Don’t forget that all this is found on your compatible mobile phone and a tiny light weight GPS Blue Tooth receiver, so not only do you not notice that you are carrying it, but also you don’t look out of place and never need to consider shall I take this or not, due to its difficult weight / bulkiness. TalkNav uses a GPS receiver that has been highly tested and the device has been considered for the purpose to which it is going to be applied. Many other products that claim to offer high quality satellite navigation services to the visually impaired community simply use a low grade off the shelf GPS receiver. But this does not take into consideration the user group, its complex requirements and performance needs. Clients who will use TalkNav need their sat-nav solution to work in all environmental conditions, in any location, not just when the sun is out and their walking in the countryside with no over head obstructions.
