Pairing a GPS Receiver
Linking the GPS Unit to Your Mobile Phone Handset
Switch on the receiver,
A small slide switch can be found on the side of the unit, the unit shall instantly begin to function, and begins to calculate its position. Provided that the signal strength falls within acceptable levels for the receiver to function, a GPS lock shall be established. Also your unit will immediately begin transmitting the data using Blue Tooth.
Enable Blue Tooth connectivity on your mobile phone,
Within the main menu of the handset scroll to `connectivity` and press select, within the menu scroll to `blue tooth`, now press `select`. Ensure that blue tooth is `enabled` or `on`,
Search for your blue tooth enabled GPS receiver:
Move to paired devices, this is normally done by pressing the right arrow key. Press the `options` key, scroll to `new paired device`, the handset will conduct a search for other blue tooth enabled devices. It should find your blue tooth GPS receiver, if it does not consult both devices instruction manuals for trouble shooting.
Pairing the GPS receiver with the handset:
Assuming that it does find the unit, press the `select` key when it is highlighted. Now you’ll be asked for the receiver’s default pairing code, normally 0000, however, do check your GPS receiver’s user manual if this does not work. It is likely once p?” Select `yes` to this question, which shall allow automatic paring whenever the GPS receiver is within range of the handset.
Additional Steps:
You may wish to switch off the `phone is visible to other devices option` once pairing is complete,
You may wish to enable pairing to take place when devices are within range,
